Security-I, Karachi was established in 2011 after bifurcation Centralized Security HQ. It works under the command of Addl.IGP Karachi Range & DIGP, Operations, Sindh, Karachi.

The Security-1 provides and supervise the Guard’s, Gunmen and Escort to the following:
Governor Sindh & Chief Minister Sindh. Judges of Supreme Court, High Court, ATC, District & Session Courts, Judges of Special Courts (NAB / CNS / Banking / FIA / Anti Corruption / Labour / Custom / Inland Revenue / Services Tribunal), Federal / Provincial Ombudsman, Lawyers & Adv. General / Prosecutor General Sindh. Court Buildings i.e. Sindh High Court, ATC, NAB, CNS, Malir Court, Banking Court, Sindh Judicial Academy.

Important Govt. Buildings i.e. Sindh Secretariat, Sindh Assembly Building, FIA Office, ISI Office, Passport office, Commissioner Karachi office, All DCs offices, Election Commission offices, Police Club, Police officer Flats, Addl. IGP Karachi Camp office, Central jail, CPO, KPO, Ridge House, Dar-ul- Aman, Forensic Division, CPO Store, Secretary Flats, Board of Revenue, etc.
